Is blogging a tough job?
Blogging is one of the fastest growing and lucrative industries in recent times. Though there are millions of blogs out there, the numbers of blogs are increasing day by day. Now, bloggers are the new age entrepreneurs who have started the Digital Revolution.
But is blogging that easy? Can anyone start a blog just like that and start earning money from it?
The answer is absolutely no. You cannot just start a blog and earn money left and right. Blogging has evolved from just a hobby to a fully fledged business. It has helped people to realize their dream, build businesses online and be your own boss. But it does not happen overnight.
The blogging superstars you are seeing every day are the product of their hard work and dedication. They have invested their time and energy to reach the place where they are now. They have spent endless hours in writing, sharing and improving their contents. They have helped endless numbers of people who are seeking information on the topic they are passionate about.
Blogging is tough if you are not ready to put 100% of your effort in your work. Blogging is tough when you do not have the focus and try to copy others.
Let us discuss why you are finding blogging tough and uninviting.
Blogging is tough if you do not find writing and reading interesting.
Reading is an integral part of blogging. Unless you have not informed about a topic yourself, how will you offer information to your audience?
Many people do not bother to read books on the topic they have chosen for their blogs. They rarely read other blogs on the topic and interact with others.
But to be a better blogger, you must equip yourself with knowledge. You must know the trending topics and their traits. And there is no better way to enhance your vocabulary other than reading.
Reading gives you the scope to know more and gathers content ideas for your blog. Unless you read and gather knowledge, blogging is tough.
Blogging is tough if you have no idea of how the blogosphere works.
The blogging community is one of the most co-operative people in the world. Get registered in any blogging group and you will find how much people love to interact with other people.
But the rule here is to help and grow together. Why would people bother to read and share your content, if you don’t have time for them?
Without interacting with others in the blogosphere, blogging is boring and stale. Read other people’s blogs too and you will find blogging more interesting.
Blogging is tough if you are not serious about it.
Blogging is not tough if you follow some simple planning for it. Writing regularly and sharing with a good strategy can bring lots of people to your blog. If you have interesting and informative content, these people will be your permanent readers and potential customers in the future.
Following posting schedule and maintaining it is one of the key factors of making blogging easy and interesting.
Blogging is tough if you do not want to invest your time and energy in the long run and want to earn money quickly.
As I have already said, bloggers don’t get fame and money overnight. It usually takes years to make a steady income from your blog.
If you are thinking that just writing and posting will generate a six figure income from your blog and getting frustrated when it never happens, you are in the wrong pool.
Blogging is a journey. It’s not getting-rich-over-the-night schemes. The whole process needs time, hard work and patience before you see the results.
Blogging is tough when you are eager to get the results without giving your best to the process. Put this thing in the mind that if you want to be a successful blogger, you must be a hard working and patient soul. That is when success will come and blogging becomes easy for you.
Here are some of the tips I follow to make my blogging journey little easier.
- Use your time wisely. Log out from all your social media when you are writing something for your blog.
- Divide the week into different segments for content creations. Keep three days for content creation for the whole week, one or two days for visual graphics and spend the rest of week to share both your and other people’s content.
- Always promote other blogs on your social media.
- Interact with other bloggers in and out of your niche. Leave meaningful comments, always.
- Always respond to comments on your blog or social media.
I hope these tips will help you to make your blogging journey easier and productive.
